A while ago I saw this anime, Detroit Metal City, and I thought it was really funny. It is about a metal band whose lead singer actually wants to make "trendy" pop music, but he ended up as a metal singer by accident. This is actually a parody to both metal and pop, and it's hilarious There is also a movie, I haven't seen it, but those who did told me it sucks. Anyway, the soundtrack is really cool, and sometimes funny, even though most of it is in Japanese
