Thanks! I chose it because of the atmosphere and also because I loved reading 1984, which definitely had some influence on the whole idea of a digital post-apocalyptic world. The first thing that came to mind was to submit a Deltron track, but I thought someone else would probably do it.

What is October's theme and is it replacing the general monthly comp?

Been on vacation the last week, so I haven\t been around to reply

I thought I'd keep October's theme a secret for another week, but suffice to say it will be the opposite of cyberpunk. That should give you a rough idea of what to expect.

I believe PMO is doing the regular comps and I quite like them as a way to just get stuff I like out there (I've often submitted tracks from albums I've reviewed). We haven't really talked about whether or not one should replace the other. I just thought themed comps were exciting and thought to revive the bi-monthlys.

I think i like themed comps more than normal comps so i wouldn't mind them being replaced, if there's a lot of support for it to happen then why not?

Just out of curiosity, what did you find inappropriate about the track I chose (The Locust)? About 75% of why I chose it was the feel of the music and the other 15% for lyrical content.

^ I thought it fit mood-wise. I didn't pay attention to the lyrics.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

i said that before i'd heard it, listening to it now and it definitely fits 'the bill'. don't ask me to write out 'the bill' though... it's an aesthetic rather than a genre, no doubt this has been said a thousand times already. it's a very good compilation

also can i just say TETSUO!!, because i love that film
and on the japanese cyberpunk ting:

Yeah, I was wondering this about Dillinger.
