Okay, it's a small comp of 11 or so contributions. I've been a little busy - it should've been up, but I forgot to keep an eye on the calendar. I will up it later today, but I have a small heap of stuff to do first so if you can submit your song before then, go ahead. You have 5 hours or so at least :p:

edit :

Alright, horror comp is up!

Guybrush 11-29-2009 04:45 AM

Alright .. thread updated with new theme! Check out the first post.

Desember's themes are night driving and christmas. :)

Zarko 11-29-2009 04:47 AM

So much potential for night driving, should have PLENTY of interest from a lot of parties.

Chrissy, not so much, but lets see how we go.

Anteater 11-29-2009 01:13 PM

Double the themes equals double the fun I suppose! :thumb:

CanwllCorfe 12-02-2009 03:02 PM

I'm going for night driving

Stone Birds 12-04-2009 04:24 PM

WTF Tore, you spelled December wrong... (there's no "s" in December)
also i'm submitting my Christmas song, although it's more winter-themed than Christmas, but hell.

There is in the wacky Norwegian language.

Also Tore I sent in my two for each section but I found another one that's perfect for the Christmas theme, may I upload a 2nd one?

wow, there is... so why doesn't our scientist (i think he's a marine biologist, but hey it's science) type everything in Norwegian and make us use a translation service:
Google Translate

Stone Birds 12-05-2009 11:32 AM

and...?
i know the forum rules, we were joking around about the typo, it's not that big of a deal, also it's kinda annoying to make a link to the forum rules when you aren't a mod.

Hey tore, i sent my night-driving submission, it'll be an easy guess for everyone

You asked a question, the answer was in the rules. That's all.

Guybrush 12-05-2009 11:55 AM

By George! I did write december with norwegian spelling. It's now been fixed! I'll try and be more careful in the future. ;)

FFS Tore, it's 'December'. How difficult can it be thinking and writing in a second language?
:p:

I thought you were just trying to be culturally relevant Tore :(

I can't believe you gave in to peer pressure... and to think I use to think of you as a brother from a different mother.

Zarko 12-14-2009 06:47 AM

Submissions still open?

Guybrush 12-14-2009 06:53 AM

Yes, I might even extend it by a couple of days as I'm sick at the moment and haven't been around to promote this much. :(

Come on guys, send me those contributions!

Guybrush 12-15-2009 09:23 AM

I have a few for the night driving comp and even fewer for the christmas thing. By few, I mean less than 10. By fewer, I mean less than 5!

I need more songs before I can put this one up. In other words, participate people! :)

Alternatively, I'm opening up for second tracks. You guys who have sent in already, feel free to send in another. I'll put the comps up on thursday, whatever size they might be.

LoathsomePete 12-15-2009 09:25 AM

Sweet, I totally thought of another Christmas track I wanted to send... and I'm sure I could find another driving one.

+81 12-15-2009 11:15 AM

I'll probably send mine on the 17th since my exams end that day. Almost forgot with this new sub-forum.

CanwllCorfe 12-15-2009 12:19 PM

I could probably send another Christmas one! I just may do that..

Dr.Seussicide 12-15-2009 12:24 PM

I'm sending a driving one (hopefully no one thought of this although...it's a no-brainer, :D)

sidewinder 12-16-2009 12:46 PM

Shyte...I have some night driving ideas set aside that I need to sort through, and could come up with far more if I actually spent the time on it. I'll see if I can remember to send something tonight.

Don't expect anything for the Christmas one though, I generally don't like Christmas music and can only think of one song I have that even mentions Christmas. And it's not all that good.

sidewinder 12-17-2009 09:59 PM

I just submitted my night driving song.

Guybrush 12-18-2009 12:44 PM

Alright, they're up!

Thanks to all who contributed with tracks :)

sidewinder 12-18-2009 02:33 PM

Phew, got in just in time!

Guybrush 12-22-2009 02:30 AM

January's theme will be Maritime!

See the first post for inspiration and explanations .. I'll accept two tracks this time and the deadline will be 15th of january. :)

+81 12-29-2009 08:55 PM

Maritime final gets it's day! I'll be sure not to forget about this one. Thinking cap: On.

Stone Birds 12-30-2009 10:16 AM

can we still submit more than one track?

Yes :)

I update the first post with information about the upcoming comp. Don't people notice? If not, I should perhaps consider doing it differently.

Stone Birds 01-03-2010 12:45 AM

ok, i know what i'll be submitting but it may take me till monday

Dr.Seussicide 01-03-2010 05:50 PM

Ok, I sent one :)

Dieselboy 01-03-2010 05:52 PM

Sent a couple as well. Looking forward to this going up. :D

I check it because I know to check it, but do find it a bit odd to do it this way (editing the same thread) as it ruins the flow of the thread, if someone were to try reading it from start to finish. I can see it really messing with newcomers. Why not a new thread for each new comp, now that the comps are in their own subforum (with soundtracks) and not cluttering up the general music forum?

I'll submit a track or two sometime in the next week.

Yeah, I think I will do that from now on. The reason I used only this one thread was that the general forum was really getting flooded with threads about compilations and so on. Now that they have their own forum, that should no longer be a problem. :)

Guybrush 01-11-2010 08:38 AM

The turnout is much better this time around. I got 14 submissions thus far and there's still a few days to go. :)

Thanks to all who sent me tracks! I haven't replied to all PMs this time because my box is filling up and I didn't want to delete all the votes and so on I got from the awards.

Stone Birds 01-15-2010 06:39 AM

my submissions for maritime are amazing
