I'm currently on a bit of a bender with his music at the minute, and I've got nothing much ese to do at the minute, so I'm gonna make an Elvis Costello mix. Plus, the original one I did was a bit vague, so this one'll be more thorough.

Slowdive are a band which have grown on me immensely in the past year to become one of my favourite bands. Active from 1989 to 1995 they released three albums: Just For a Day (1991), Souvlaki (1993) and Pygmalion (1995), a scattering of EPs and singles, and Blue Day (1992) a compilation made up of their early EPs. Their soft ethereal vocals and heavy use of guitar effects combine with melodic hooks to create a calm, relaxing, dream-pop sound.
