The only bands I have full albums by on here are the Stiffs and of course Crass (fine track selection btw) so most of it is new... so cheers, I done blogged the link! The comp also flows very well backwards in the 'recently played' playlist, just so you know

Yes, they had the stuff in Australia too, and a lot of it was actually quite good! Following the emergence of punk in Australia in the late 70s (thanks to the Saints and Radio Birdman, who I haven't included here because you should already have some songs of theirs:p:), a host of great bands boasting a garage rock sound and ties to the punk rock of the aforementioned Saints and Radio Birdman emerged. In some cases with this tracklisting, these ties are more and less obvious than others. As I say though, this is a compilation of my favourite songs that emerged following the demise of of those two bands.

I won't claim to be an expert or anything though - this is just a bunch of songs I like from the era. Again, the pic's the link. This is another update of an older mix I've done as well, so whoever downloaded that one will already have quite a few of these songs.

Another one no-one asked for, but I was bored, so...

A Beginner's Guide To David Bowie

As a few us may know, this guy's been responsible for a lot of great music down the years, and has quite a large and mind-bogglingly stylistically-varied discography as well. It goes without saying that a fella like Bowie requires quite a large compilation when it comes to something good enough for this thread then. So, three of the mixes compile two songs from each of his albums, while the fourth one's made from a bunch of my favourite rarities, and may or may not be interesting to any of us who already have plenty of his official albums. Best to re-arrange the first three mixes in chronological order as they have been below should you wanna download any of them. Anyway, without further ado...

I've got everything from the first three but that last compilation looks so enticing! Definitely downloading that one.

The National

All The Wine-The National Primer
http://omgplz.files.wordpress.com/20...henational.jpg
One of my favourites,The National proved themselves to be one of the best groups of the 00's by virtue of superb songwriting and performances, and constant development from album to album. This compilation covers their development from American Music Club and Wilco-beholden indie types to a smart, confident band on a par with any other as the decade drew to a close, making records on a par with those of prime Tindersticks and Afghan Whigs in which the songwriting and vocal performances of Matt Beringer were second to none.
Tracklisting
1.Fake Empire
2.Patterns Of Fairytales
3.All The Wine
4.American Mary
5.Murder Me Rachel
6.Slow Show
7.Secret Meeting
8.Theory Of The Crows
9.Ada
10.Lucky You
11.City Middle
12.Mr November
13.About Today
Tracks numbers 1,6,9 from Boxer, 2,5,10 from Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers, 3,7,11,12 from Alligator, 4 and 8 from The National and 13 from Cherry Tree EP
