I had a listen to this and I liked a lot of it. Never really liked the Sugarcubes but Tappi Tikarrass (specifically the first album) and KUKL were really really good and links for those would be well appreciated. KUKL is some damn fine Post Punk I have to say. Great comp and plenty of effort put in too :thumb:

looks good. but a bit extensive for a band with one real album IMO. my beginner list would b like... I think only Ruff Gem and Abominable Snowman are as good as the songs off the LP.

Abominable Snowman (X Posure Session)
Tuff Ghost (LP)
Inoculate the Innocuous (LP)
Ruff Gem (Live)
Les Os(LP)
Child Star (favorite song prolly) (LP)
The Clap (LP)
Ghost Mountain (LP)

You're probably right. It might be a little long winded but I wanted to get something off each release and include some treasures. They do have 2 LPs, 2 EPs, and another album worth of songs. If I cut it down it would still probably be no smaller than 14 songs.

debaserr 11-25-2009 08:00 PM

i suppose. but for me, they aren't very good. the songs from the other LP that don't overlap are mediocre.

I think you really need to be a fan to appreciate Unicorns Are People Too. That's why I chose to only include one song from that album.

That is pretty much the best way to describe this style of music. It is set up a lot like a show you'd expect to see live in some theater. There's often a lot of dark humor in the songs, which just add to the live element. While there's often a lot of studio musician work for each song, for a style like this it really works well. If you can get past the odd demeanor and some of the stereotypical voices, there's quite a lot to this almost unheard of genre. Hopefully with this mix it will attract the attention of some people and create new fans.
