You should, it might help to watch the movie first to understand how some of it fits into context. The soundtrack is very guitar-based. There are a couple jazzier tracks towards the end that don't appear in the movie, but they're good anyway.

I really love soundtracks from Cameron Crowe movies (say anything, almost famous, Vanilla sky etc.)

I don’t know about August rush the movie was ok I would be interested in hearing the soundtrack


Also a very good sound track is the one for “Into the wild”. Eddie Vedder is amazing on it.
