They did'nt appear in this order as it seems that the above was the correct order due to the ambient last tracks and i was too lazy to change them around. I will review as they appear though.

1. A few people have recommended them and now I see why. Awesome opening. Nice and grindy yet still controlled.
2. Riffage was good enough but not particularly engaging enough.
3. I liked this a lot. Need to get an album.
4. Another name I have heard but not checked out. Hated the drum track but there was enough for me to want to hear some more tracks.
5. I don't mind discordant music sometimes but this just wound me up.
6. I remember you posting about Boris's other releases. Don't know what to make of it. Was a little too monotonous for me.
7. Yeah not bad at all.
8. This was certainly minimalist. Is it a split album? May have to check that out.
9. I have this track-excellent stuff
10. Took an age to get going but another glorious Post Rock track.

A few up's may be in order

I'm only 3 tracks in but if this keeps up then it's the best mix i've heard from here. Nice one!

Top mix sir . I've got six of those, but I'll give it a listen for the rest. The Normal & Swell Maps are definitely in my 'listen to' list.

Great comp! I've already got the Faust, Fred Frith, Gal Costa, The Jesus Lizard, Neu! & Pere Ubu tracks, but well, it doesn't hurt re listening again.(although I do listen to them often)
Swell Maps were excellent as well. I might need to get their stuff, but seeing as I've already got my hands full rite now, it might take me a while . Oh well, still in my 'listen to' list I suppose .

1.) This is actually quite awesome - I'm definitely checking these guys out.
2.) I love this piece of Faust quirkiness. Brilliant album.
3.) Fred Frith's jagged metallic guitar over a warm bassline and a funky backbeat. What more could you want? And it even becomes almost listenable towards the end.
4.) I've never heard anything like this and it's very cool. Nice guitarwork, crazy vocals and a dynamic bassline.
5.) I love post-punk for the fusion of genres - this is jazzy, experimental, ballsy and funky, all at the same time.
6.) This didn't do much for me - it was a bit boring but improved towards the end.
7.) Punk Neu!! While I prefer earlier Neu, this album is certainly great and eclectic. And this is a great song packed with attitude.
8.) This was boring.
9.) I haven't got this album but I enjoy the Pere Ubu that I do have. I like the buildups in this.
10.) Another great song from another great band.

Overall I really liked this compilation.
