Re Wayfarer's introduction to desert rock.
I feel a track by track would kind of defeat the point of this mix, the sequencing and continuity made it a hypnotic pleasure to listen to, start to finish. I considered myself a bit of a stoner-metal/rock fan before but clearly a piss-poor one because I'd not heard any of the tracks on here (yes even the QOTSA one) :p I could go on to say how the mammoth riff-age and bombastic song lengths are nicely broken up by the instrumentals; but there's no point because theme and rhythm seems consistent , and it has the effect of a well-mixed DJ set... indeed, it's difficult to tell when one track ends and the other begins. Top marks all round then. I have an iTunes section for all the MB 10-tracks and this one is getting wheeled alot. An unfortunate side effect is the certain cravings this mix induces... rah edit: though my highlight is probably the Unida track... what a ****ing band D/l Kirby's underground hip-hop one next, looking forward to this.
