CanwllCorfe - Cold is Coming

The Abbasi Brothers - Fragments of Memories as a Child
M. Ostermeier - Suspended
Le Lendemain - Lois
Amiina - What Are We Waiting For
Sven Weisemann - Xine XVIII Love in Vein
The Tallest Man on Earth - Where Do My Bluebirds Fly
The Echelon Effect - Debris
Arvo Pärt - Summa
Balmorhea - Bowsprit
John Metcalfe - Felt Unseen
Nils Frahm & Anne Müller - Teeth
Dné - My Vitamins
Frederik - Black Fur
Goddamn Electric Bill - Crossfire
Antony & The Johnsons - Hope There's Someone
Horse Feathers - Falling Through the Roof
Portland Cello Project - Nelson

I pretty much picked songs that felt "cold" or in my mind, fit with the Fall/Winter seasons. Everything from Ambient, to Folk, to Modern Classical. I tried not to make it overbearingly sombre, so I split it up with some dark songs, and some happy bright ones. While still, of course, sticking with the theme. Sooo ennnnjoy!

Downloaded and checked this one out - pretty good stuff here! Kudos!

EDIT: Also, CanwllCorfe - Downloaded yours as well, and it's sounding pretty darn great. Very good stuff, and I only had the Antony and the Johnsons track previously - nice.

Haunting Mix For October

Track Listing:
1.) Atlas Sound - A Ghost Story
2.) Oysterhead - Little Faces
3.) The Velvet Underground - The Black Angel's Death Song
4.) Band Of Horses - Is There a Ghost?
5.) The Hush Sound - Lighthouse
6.) Neutral Milk Hotel - Ghost
7.) Placebo - Sleeping With Ghosts
8.) Of Montreal - Death Of a Shade Of a Hue
9.) Mance Lipscomb - Haunted House Blues
10.) Bob Dylan - House Carpenter

This is just a little something I put together for the end of October. Some "ghostly" songs. There's dark, there's tragic, and there's more upbeat takes on the subject matter, but the mix remains haunted.

Listen to it at your own risk - And Happy Halloween!

Note: I apologize that the tracks aren't in order in the folder; I didn't really feel like I should go through all the time of re-tagging every single song involved, and I hope you all don't mind!

Top job CanwllCorfe! This is a fantastic compilation, stunning mood music. The Fredrik track is making me pretty happy right now.

Thank you so much! And yes, that song is so cheery! It's great stuff. Mood music is a good way to put it.. that's sort of what I was going for.

The Very Best Of
Alexisonfire

Alexisonfire are hands down my favorite homeland band. They formed in 2002 in St. Catherines, Ontario and have since developed a large, loyal fanbase. Musically, they've done a fair bit of exploring, and there is little resemblance between their self-titled debut album and their most recent full-length "Old Crows/Young Cardinals". Unfortunately, many people wrongfully associate them with the hair-swoop and skinny jeans mallcore trend that has plagued hard music for the past decade, but having a screamer and a singer with a pretty voice does not automatically categorize a band as such. As they put so well in the song "Get Fighted" (which I did not include in this compilation), "this shit is not about pants, and shit is not about shirts, and this shit is definitely not about hair".

This compilation consists of what I believe are the ten best songs the band has released. I have tried to represent each album well and refrained from putting a bunch of similar-sounding songs on here.

Tracklist

You Burn First
Dog's Blood
Pulmonary Archery
The Northern
This Could Be Anywhere In The World
That Girl Possessed
Waterwings (And Other Poolside Fashion Faux Pas)
Emerald Street
It Was Fear Of Myself That Made Me Odd
.44 Caliber Love Letter

Enjoy
