Also i have been thinking of making a compilation or group of Trance songs maybe 10-11 tracks long. I love the genre, but im not sure if theres enough people here that would want to listen to it.

The Bottle is the outstanding track and my love for that tune is no secret here. Ohio Players are a class act too. |

Just to touch on something Urban said earlier, funnily enough...Ohio Players were big influences for RHCP who covered one of there records, Love Rollercoaster.
Edit: If your a fan of Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas, I believe (Ohio Players version) it's on one of the in game radio stations. Edit 2: Quick wiki search...Bounce FM...which includes 'Funky Worm' too! Edit 3: Soundgarden covered Fopp...well bugger me sideways! (not literally) |

Slight change of thread name.
Same rules apply; Here's your chance to compile a playlist of 10 tracks that mean something to you. Old/new/any genre...it doesn't even matter if you think most here have heard them before. What matters, is that you list the tracks in your post along with the link and a little write up to explain your choices. Just to clear things up, uploading compilations in this thread isn't breaking any MB rules. Member feedback on the compilations is always welcome. |

1. Joy Division - she's lost control
My favorite song by one of my favorite bands of all time, this one's on here mainly for a lot of personal memories tied up to it. It's one I never tire of listening to, no matter how many hours it spends on loop on my mp3 player. 2. Radiohead - black stars Definitely one of my favorite radiohead tracks, this one again is on here because of a very personal connection. 3. Gritz - ooh ahh This song never fails to get me in an energetic and good mood, mainly because I immediatley associate it with all my best skiing memories 4. Norman Greenbaum - spirit in the sky Hands down, one of the best road trip songs ever. Endless amounts of travel memories attached to this one. 5. bob dylan - it ain't me babe I love dyaln, and I believe that no one else but him could perform this song with as much heart and meaing. 6. smashing pumpkins - today great song, and the first one that got me into this band. i have my older brother to thank for getting me interested in them, and they remain a favorite still 7. The Black seeds - the answer Awesome kiwi dub band, and still remains my favorite years after I've become familiar with loads more dub bands. As soon as I hear this song i feel like i'm back in red rock bar in wanaka, knocking back vodka/lime/soda's and making the rounds chatting with everyone I knew, which was usually the entire bar. 8. pennywise - **** authority there's other songs by pennywise that I believe to be a lot better, but this one made the list before all them for a number of reasons. It was the song that got me into the band, and because of that, it has a lot of good memories attached to it, more so than any other pennywise song. I was playing this song the first time I did a cliff drop skiing 9. the kooks - seaside I listen to this song and i'm walking across this gorgeous golden sand beach right as the sun is coming up, looking out to the ocean and heading towards the trail that continues through rainforest and out into many other rediculously perfect and completely deserted beaches. Its no wonder this song made the list with those memories attached to it. 10. black rebel motorcylce club - shuffle your feet nothing but good memories attached to this song, skiing powder, driving up to go skiing, standing outside the car drinking a few beers before heading off the hill, this song playing on the sterio, still giddy and reved up from an amazing day skiing. notice a trend? no link for the moment, but i'll get on it once i get onto the computer with all my music on it.
