Best of Slowly Goes The Night Volume III

Finally got to another one of these things. After a few extensive layoffs, your minds probably don't quite remember the earlier tracks/albums of these 10, so thats probably a good thing. As per usual, trying to deviate from the youtube vids, unless they are clearly the best and I uploaded too many youtube vids. An interesting mix, this will probably be the most love/hate for all of you out there. Really just realised on the last review how electro-crazy I was going there... May need to hit up some more variation. None the less, this is the most positive overall (ie no albums I gave a 6.x to). And yes, I really do love that Macelleria track/album, even if I only gave it 7.7

Either way...

She Stirs My Cocktail by Macelleria Mobile di Mezzanotte

Eaten Alive by Mushroom's Patience

DC-10 by Techno Animal

Dark Moisture by Eivind Aarset

Even Cats Dream About Flying
by Contemporary Noise Quintet

A Hallucination by Heroin And Your Veins

Afrihouse by Sao Paulo Underground

Apocalypse Now
by Onra

Lament
by Jacaszek

Like Falling Crystals by Stendeck

Great stuff Zarko. Your effort is commendable and your mixes always have a few names that I haven't heard.

Booming Playlist (trippy)
I always love pairing psychedelics with music. Every time I "experiment" I make a new playlist to listen to with friends during the trip. Here is one of said playlists. I try to make the songs match the theme. Not sure if this is the actual order but here goes:
edit: i may post explanations on a song by song basis later if i feel compelled to do so.

Yes - Long Distance Runaround - The Fish

LCD Soundsystem - Us V Them

Pinback - Bouquet

Radiohead - Everything In Its Right Place

Animal Collective - Leaf House

Mogwai - Folk Death 95

Primal Scream - Higher Than The Sun

Gorillaz - Kids With Guns

Beach Boys - You Still Believe In Me

Talking Heads - Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes On)

Black Metal Mix:

Amesoeurs - Au Crépuscule de Nos Rêves : A heart wrenching and also beautiful track from the now defunct French group who combined black metal with post punk and shoegaze.

Gram - Tropfenschlag : A hard hitting black metal song with some epic guitar work and amazing vocals that range from growling to guttural.

Furia - Na Swym Ciele Historię Mą Piszę : An amazing track from the amazing polish black metal band. Starts out dark and heavy but has some epic and uplifting sections, complete with a depressive breakdown

Krypt - I Am God : A purely raw track complete with intense instrument playing and amazing vocal work from the former Tsjuder vocalist.

Mgła - Further Down the Nest I : Another true black metal artist from Poland! Raw, dark, fast, amazing.. all by one man.

Cor Scorpii - Oske Og Innsikt : Over 10 minutes of non stop guitar, drum, and vocal amazingness. I guess that's something to expect from a Norweigan black metal band!

Vandöd - The Bastard King : Off of their album As, is one of this Swedish black metal band's most melodic and heavy songs.

1000 Funerals - Portrait of a Dream : Extremely dark and haunting instrumental black metal

Notre Dame - A Sleighride Through Transylvanian Winterland : One of the weirdest bands I ever heard offering up some melodic black metal.. and extremely strange vocals.

Nargaroth - Píseň Pro Satana (Root Cover) : A classic cover done by the German Nargaroth of a Czech love song written for satan. Sooo cute

Electronic Mix:

Neptune Project - Aztec (Aly & Fila Remix) : A gorgeous, uplifting, epic trance track from one of the only artists who has resisted adding any electro, house, or tech influences. TRUE trance as it should be made

Boy 8 Bit - Wolfen (Loose Cannons Howl at The Moon Mix) : A very melodic and catchy electro tune with a kind of weird and quirky intro.

Tigran Oganezov - M.A.D.A.R.P. : This song exemplifies the heavy, HEAVY techno influence on today's tech trance. Although the "tech" is short for "techno" there has never been as much techno in trance as there is today. This is probably one of the only tracks that I like with this much influence

Skipbase - Uhhh Yeahhh (Waveboy Remix) : Hard hitting electro house tune complete with an aggressive bassline and melody.

Ross Copperman - Talk (DJ Space Raven vs. Nolita Remix) : A gorgeous tune from 2 true epic trance artists.. complete with rather emotional lyrics and a very uplifting breakdown.

Dave Schiemann - Overload (Re-Ward Remix) : This is what tech trance USED to sound like. Heavy kicks, heavy bassline, with a heavy handed dose of catchiness.

Dirty Vegas - Tonight (Above & Beyond Remix) : An absolutely gorgeous and lush piece of progressive vocal trance from the legendary trio.

Skipbase - Uhhh Yeahhh (Sound of Eden Electro Remix) : Another great remix.. that's slightly more progressive than Waveboy's albeit just as catchy and hard hitting.

Alex Kidd & Kidd Kaos - Ground Zero Theme 09 : A true piece of raw hard trance from these 2 up and coming Brit artists.

Mango - Kisses : A really lovely and mellow progressive tune to finish things off with.

No problem Yeah I figured a lot of people wouldn't know many of them. Thought it'd be a good learning experience... or something. I may do an all progressive one in the future
