Maggot Brain Guitar
 

Just a quick appreciation post for the Song Maggot Brain. Especially the guitar solo, of course. Currently my second favorite solo after Gilmour's Another Brick in the Wall Pt.2 Solo. Especially the beginning, those first few strings being pulled, has so much emotion and sadness in it. The whole song feels like an absolute trip. Also wondering if there is any evidence if the lsd/"play like your mother died" story is true?

Anyways, just listened to their album. Great stuff, but my goodness, that title track, its something else. My favorite guitar solo used to be "another brick in the way pt. 2" but currently its holding on real tight, that maggot brain guitar... pure genius. On top of that the whole story behind it with the acid, incredible.
