Any Marvin Gaye & Tammii Terrell Fans Here?

I have loved this duo for many years. Also collect Tammi as a solo artist as well. Any thoughts?

Most people here hate Marvin Gaye.

Kidding, of course. But I just went to search for the thread and realized there wasn't one...maybe they do hate Marvin Gaye?

Umm... obviously no hate here.

Love both Gaye and Terrell! Sorry I noticed this so late.

Marvin Gaye is easily in my Top 5 favourite artists! Amazing voice, amazing talent and honestly? He isn't mentioned nearly as much as he should be for his contribution towards the civil rights movement. His song is still as relevant now as it was then.

WGO has been near the top and, this year, made it to the number 1 spot of Rolling Stone's Greatest Albums of All Time. Other than his music I'm not aware of his contribution to the movement in terms of direct action. Perhaps music is the best contribution he could make!

Oh absolutely, music was without a doubt the best way Marvin could have contributed to that movement. It's a classic. It's timeless and it's relevant today. The moment the song starts, I just have to sit back, close my eyes and let the emotion take over.
