Cool Parliament version of Sgt Pepper?

George Clinton said in an interview a few years back that Parliament recorded their own version of the entire Sgt. Pepper album in 1967 but never put it out.

No one is quite sure where these records are but a few days back Tuff City Records posted a clip of studio chatter from the sessions on their facebook and instagram for the 50th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper.

so I guess the mythical recordings actually do exist? Anyone have any other info on this?
