Desert Island Stevie Wonder Song
If you had to listen to only one Stevie Wonder song for the rest of your life, what would it be? This is the premise of my music blog, Desert Island Mixtape. Each month we choose a new artist and pose the same question. I then share the results with high school students in hopes that they are inspired to learn more about older musicians. Thanks.

"Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours"

I'd say 'I Wish' or 'Superstition'. Tough pick!

Difficult choice but I would have to go with "I WISH" due to the intricate, syncopated interplay of both the keyboards & guitar while the bassline in an Eflat scale-play(Stevie felt comfortable performing songs in flats/sharps due to the ease of noting the keyboard's "black key" configuration) maintained a straight, solid tempo foundation. His rhythmic, lyrical flow played perfectly against the tune's harmonic & chordal content. No doubt 'bout the horns adding emphasis to the song's closing....jus' sayin'....

It's on Innervisions.

"Sir Duke" would be mine for sure. Few songs make feel as good as that song.

Oooooo that's hard. I really love "I Was Made to Love Her" but I feel like that one could get annoying pretty fast. "Too High" is pretty great but maybe a little too low key. I should just listen to some more Stevie and come back.
