Living Just Enough, Just Enough,,,
"Living For The City"
Stevie even excels himself here- this track is brilliant in every way. He plays all the instruments and sings all the voices (except the actors in the middle section). And he composes and produces it as well! Unusually dark and gritty for Stevie, who is usually at the sweeter poppier end of soul. Great social commentary in the lyrics, an outstanding lead vocal, congruously moody instrument sounds, even his drumming is excellent, his vocal harmonies are outstanding, and the change into the dreamy contrast section creates a sense of fantasia to release the brooding tension of the main sections. Quite a masterpiece, methinks. There's a great live version of Stevie with Ray Charles singing this, search YouTube.

Agreed. That's my pick too.
