Hmmm. Tough one. Just listened to innervisions yesterday. I guess I would go with I wish or I believe.

Living Just Enough, Just Enough,,,
"Living For The City"
Stevie even excels himself here- this track is brilliant in every way. He plays all the instruments and sings all the voices (except the actors in the middle section). And he composes and produces it as well! Unusually dark and gritty for Stevie, who is usually at the sweeter poppier end of soul. Great social commentary in the lyrics, an outstanding lead vocal, congruously moody instrument sounds, even his drumming is excellent, his vocal harmonies are outstanding, and the change into the dreamy contrast section creates a sense of fantasia to release the brooding tension of the main sections. Quite a masterpiece, methinks. There's a great live version of Stevie with Ray Charles singing this, search YouTube. |
"Living In The City" easy. Like the guy above said it's an absolute masterpiece, talk about an epic track, just amazing.

Gosh... That Girl, Higher Ground, Sir Duke, You Haven't Done Nothin'...
Guess if I had to listen to it over and over, maybe either Do I Do or (more than likely) I Was Made To Love Her. |
"Too High."
honorable mentions: "You Got It Bad Girl," "Superstition," "Smile Please," It Aint No Use," "Sir Duke." |
"You Got it Bad Girl" is a GREAT choice. I might have to go with "Saturn" off of SITKOL, though...

GUYS come on... it's obviously "I Believe (When I Fall in Love)"

Living for the City would be painfully ironic being stuck on a desert island
