Default Mint Condition

Mint Condition is a soul/funk/R&B/New Jack Swing band. This band is originally from Minneapolis. The band consists of lead singer Stokley Williams, guitarist Homer O'Dell, keyboardist Larry Waddell, keyboardist/saxophonist Jeff Allen, keyboardist/guitarist Keri Lewis, and guitarist/bassist Rick Kinchen.

This band combines a variety of genres, influences and experiences to shape their sound and music. They cover a wide range of genres and some of their influences consist of Prince and The Time.

They started to gain a core following after being a feature in the 1986 Minnesota Black Musician Awards program. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis eventually took notice of the band at one of their club performances during the late 80's. They signed them to Perspective Records and their first debut was released in 1991 titled Meant To Be Mint

Some of their biggests hits include Breakin My Heart "Pretty Bown Eyes", Forever in Your Eyes, Nobody Does it Betta and You Send Me Swingin

Mint Condition Today

Mint Condition recently toured with Prince on his Welcome 2 America Tour and opens up for him quite a bit on some of his shows.

Some of their recent hits includes Caught My Eye and lead singer Stokley's feature with Kelly Price- "Not My Daddy"

This song was actually nominated for a grammy. I LOVE this song!

Mint Conditon IS VERY UNDERRATED They are one of the best R&B bands still around and the only live 90's band that still tours. I think the legacy of this group and their influence is crazy underrated. There shows are AMAZING. I am dying to see them LIVEEEE!!! Stokley is such an incredible singer and they all are great musicians.

Gosh I love this band!! Still doing the damn thing after 20 years despite lack of acknowledgement from the industry

I will come back and discuss their albums.
