Oh, please do. William Bell was an early Stax/Volt artist -- my favorite of his songs (which is his best known) is "You Don't Miss Your Water". Ann Peebles is best known for "I Can't Stand the Rain," but she has many other amazing songs--some of the best stuff to come out of Willie Mitchell's Hi Records (Al Green's label). This is also where O.V. Wright recorded most of his work. There's a lot of amazing soul out there---and i'd say Stax and Hi are the best places to start.
