^ Glad you like 'em!

Here's another band you might like (if you haven't heard them already) they Sound closer to Santana than Funkadelic on much of the album but there are some Funkadelic type moments also.

Mandrill - Mandrill (1971)

Anyone know of any websites with soul and R&B chart information from the 60's, 70s, 80s?

WEFUNK Radio : WEFUNK is a Hip Hop, Funk & Soul mix show broadcasting from Montreal

I haven't listened to it much lately they maybe got a bit more commercial but they used to play some heavy underground funk that can still be found in their archives

Highly rec

I want funk with a lot of slap bass.
Slap bass is my music fetish.

edit: Bands/artists I already listened to:
James Brown
Sly & The Family Stone
Larry Graham
Graham Central Station.

Default Skinny Cooks

A combo of jazz, funk, rnb, soul and electronica. Just really great stuff!

Type in "Skinny Cooks" in google and it'll take you right to it.

Check out Victor Wooten. He slaps like a beast, "victor's jam" on YouTube is a good example. Also check out Stone Jam by Slave, Mark Addams was a great slapper too.
