How does funk make you feel?

Hi guys!

I am new to this site, and would really appreciate some help. I ma tyring to get a friend to listen to some funk, and want to give them a good explination as to why. If you were trying to encourage someone to listen to funk, how would you sell it?

Thanks

The original "dance music", the irresistable, the ineffable, the unquestionable. Music for your feet and hips as well as your soul. Saved the world from the plague of ****e known as "prog-rock" in the seventies.

you just have to sit that guy or gal down and turn those jams up real loud!!!
then they can make up their own mind!

there's just no other alternative my friend ;)

Despite its reputation for being really high energy most funk makes me feel pretty mellow. At it's best though a great funk song makes me want to strut my stuff down the street in some sweet new clothes.

YES. A great funk song makes me want to walk around in something snazzy and be funkilicious. But a lot of it is kind of calming, I don't know why.
