The late Rick James had his own individual style- Sharp and very catchy. He was the Mentor of Teena Marie, "Lady T", who releases her new album, Congo Squares in June this year, accompanied by a single-Can't Last A Day, featuring Faith Evans. This is some thirty years since her first recordings, one of which, " I'm Just A Sucker For Your Love", is actually a duet with Rick. As for her debut single to launch Congo Squares, I doubt that this particular choice has the strength to deliver.

I agree, Rick James has got a great sound going on, and its all his own. He's really fun to listen to for a nice fresh change. Rick's earned a good place in the funk world, I believe.

Whoever these guys may be, they have a second chance to bask in the attention and glory of MB, thanks to this game: http://www.musicbanter.com/games-lis...litz-game.html
So, I'm off to do some research and hopefully come back with an opinion of some sort....
