Raydio-Ray Parker Junior
Ray Parker Junior:
Pretty Much Unheard Of, Except For A Sad Little Ditty Called Ghostbusters! He Actually Produced Some Of The Best Disco Funk Of The Late '70's And Supported Bootsy Collins Rubber Band ( Funkadelic And Parliament), When He Toured Over Here In about '78. He Has Made A Recent Re-Appearance Disguised (?) As A Bus Conductor On The Latest 118 Advert! |
A couple of Ray Parker Junior songs have special resonance for me because they remind me of specific events.
This is one of them. |
Yeah, it's really something that he's really only known for his Ghostbusters song.
|
I bought the "two places at once record" because it had a funny cover...the music itself is pretty pedestrian and there's about 1000 better bands in his niche. I don't think he's underated at all.
.....ghostbusters was a work of genius though. |
I remember Ray Parker. He had some hits in the 70's and also wrote New Edition's 1984 hit "Mr. Telephone Man".
|
pretty decent band i'd say.
I'd rate Raydio on a scale from 1 to 10 as a 7 Ray Parker on his own I'd give him a 6 |
