Back to Black, in my opinion is a brilliant album, from a rare talent.
Made all the rarer because she's British. A wonderful Jazz/Soul singer with true, authentic style.
And it's great to hear that 60's sound getting an airing again.

She writes most of her own songs about modern issues and that band (incredible musicians) behind her give it that raw, laid back jazz soul feel.
This is one of my favourite albums of recent years.

have you seen her sing 40 seconds of Sarah Vaughan's Tenderly on Jools Holland, her eyes are practically rolling in her head but she still pulls it off its fantastic and when she sings don't go to strangers with Paul Weller, its stunning

I've only hear Rehab but I'm looking up more at the moment. ?Rehab was a really good song, something I didn't expect to see on mtv. Her band is amazing as well.
