OMG Amy Winehouse in the Soul n Funk section, NO!

what's wrong with Amy? Poor girl got the shaft in life and in death... she was talented... there is no doubt, just because she was born in the wrong time doesn't mean she can't hold down the soul....

Not Amy but equally as talented...

I DO really like her lyrics but the music isnt soulful or funky. I always thought she was trying to sound like she was from 1940s radio. Is that natural?

As Amy Winehouse's music can basically be described as Soul Jazz it can either go in one thread or the other.
As I don't feel like moving it it's staying in this one.

I think she wanted to be more of a modern day version of The Ronettes.

Always enjoyed Amy Winehouse's albums and was sad that she passed so young. I picked up this box set late last year. One cd, three dvds, great quality shows and love the interviews with Amy.
