Agreed Necro. Seal's material while not often funky enough, is well written and well produced with solid delivery. I've been diggin' his stuff since his debut.

I don't know if he's considered funk by most, but Stevie Wonder had some REALLY funky songs back in the day. "Boogie on Reggae Woman" is pure funk imo. Great funky bass and piano. Super harmonica solo. The guy is incredible.
