Apparently Isaac Hayes and Bernie Mac were in the midst of working on a movie together called Soul Men (from here):

Funny you should say that. My friend and I were discussing this and decided Jackson is too much of a badass to die right now. My friend says: "he could get brain cancer and he'd just be in the hospital jump up during some test and be like: "THATS IT! I have had it with this mother****in' cancer in my mother****in' brain" and it'd just go away." < That's a direct quote via messenger.
