I agree, actually. That is specifically why I didnt mention it as good musically, but as a brilliant concept considering he has never even seen a plant. No one bought this album, but one of his most famous songs came from it, ironically...

Can someone put up a Songs in the key of Life vs. Innervisions pole? Or maybe if everyone just adds that at the end of their post.

For me's it goes back and forth, right now Innervisions by a nose.

Good call, it's at least notable, made add an other option too just in case. Some of my wifes friends really like his later stuff.

By the way in case I never said so, great avatar.

Yeah, Talking Book is actually my favorite album by him. I like Innervisions and Songs in the Key of Life a lot but both have songs I usually skip past.

Looks like it based on the liner notes. It's possible that it's actually played on a keyboard instead of a bass guitar.

I was thinking there was a simple bass guitar part under a keyboard part, but obviously i'm not a musician so could be wrong.

Yeah, I know what you mean, there's a part that sounds like bass played on a clavinet and there's a part below that which sounds more like a bass guitar. I think the part that sounds like it's played on a bass guitar is actually a keyboard too though. I just looked it up on Wikipedia, and according to them the bass line was played on a Moog synthesizer.
