What are some of the best R&B/Soul albums/singles from the 60s & 70s.

I think he's saying the mix of 60's R&B with 70's Soul is the best fusion of music ever.

At least I hope he said that cos I'd agree, with the excepton of post punk, but I'd never dare compare the two.

You ever checked out a series of Superfly soul compliations on CD? There is some brilliant dirty funk on them. just the sort of thing I love.

That CD is worth the money just for Gil Scott Heron's 'The Bottle' and you can't go wrong with Curtis Mayfield.

The Bottle is an amazing track. I adore this album and it only cost me a fiver! If you have any pointers to similar stuff LMK!

60's Geno Washington, Billy Butler, Edwin Starr, JJ Barnes, Isley Brothers, Jackie Wilson, Major Lance.
Far too many to mention.

Special mention for a very under-rated female soul singer...Brenda Holloway. Has the voice of an angel.
