Crosses and Crutches
Who says our trials aren't our jubilations?
With every challenge comes a revalation And with this knowledge we face damnation But in our growth we find salvation Oh, for hell I have found myself in Restricted movement, no act or sin As men of cloth have said before 'Without penance, there's nothing more' Follow the world's flow of love and hate Embrace what you will and embrace your fate With no free will comes no regret Live and learn unless you forget: He who hath no fear is his own king Judician and absolute about how you live You'd know you've nothing left to give Except your blood and all of your tears Even when you're dead, you'll still believe you'll follow the world's flow of love and hate Embrace what you will and embrace your fate With no free will comes no regret Live and learn unless you forget: He who hath no fear is his own king Even from the grave, I hear the saints singing Sing your rhetoric while I slip out of being With all of the lessons that I have learned I shall lie in wait, watch your kingdom burn I will rise above all else As I'm exalted, you are expelled In your monotone, you preach but by no means practice Stricken in my rage, you will learn of my malice Hypocracy, you're let to do while I'm chastized And as I stand, you'll live with your lifeless eyes ------------------------------------------------------------------ Hello. I am new here, so I figured that maybe some lyrics that I've recently wrote would be a good way to start off. I'm a college kid who's been writing lyrics since I was about 13. I like tackling subjects in a variety of manners, using symbolism, strong language, almost incoherent metaphors or analogies, or really any way that my head can get an idea out. I've been trying to put my lyrics to actual sound by myself, with limited luck (once out of my 150+ lyric sheets). I hope that my stay in this blog is a long one, and any collaboration of sorts is welcome if anyone is interested in what I can offer (which is limited, I'm still learning). Please note that though this song is strongly geared towards religion, I am very open to any and all forms of it, and do not wish to outwardly offend anyone with my expressions. |
