Do you know Lou Reed? I think it makes sense to lump him with the VU (whose first two albums you should check out ASAP, like for real, log off and go listen to them. Now.)

I know Lou Reed's solo stuff (and unfortunately the **** he did with metallica). And I've been meaning to check out Velvet Underground. But their are so many albums I need to check out that are considered staples of their individual genres.
