Another Town
Streaming rain and sleepless nights
I wreck my chi on red eye flights. To see the crowds that give me life, Fill my heart and end my strife. I see her face, second row I'll look for her after the show. Think she'd wanna kiss my lips? Back of her car, we move our hips. Another night, another town Planes fly by and voices drown. I'll sing my songs and strum my chords To make my way from shore to shore Crowded room, smoke fills my lungs While Jack and Jim; they coat my tongue. You hear my words and sing along I give my all and then I'm gone. Back in town, a year has passed The spirits here still fill my glass A bright young face, she sings along And this is why I write these songs. Another night, another town Planes fly by and voices drown. I'll sing my songs and strum my chords To make my way from shore to shore |
