SONG - Days (for Jeff Buckley)
Feedback please!
Two years, three months and ten days Your life was stolen away Until mine, you just couldn't wait No, my love could never stay Underwater Did you find her? That Grace of yours I hope it's calm in that water And I'll see you on the other side Oh two years, three months and ten days My heart still breaks Because the river that stole your oxygen Wasn't as beautiful as you All that time Just waiting for the crowds to settle down Hereditary, don't you see? You were doomed never to speak with me Not that you'd mind, not that you mind Underwater Did you find her? That Grace of yours I hope it's calm in that water Cos I miss you Doesn't make any sense You were an angel The world was sad to see you go Does it make sense? Missing you still But two years, three months and ten days Seemed like hardly any time at all No time to recover And no time to breathe Underwater Did you find her? That Grace of yours I hope it's calm in that water And I'll see you on the other side Two years, three months and ten days Was the space between us Lights have gone out But I'll see you on the other side. |

Hi there. Mostly, in tribute songwriting, you'll not find a letter to someone specific, as it will not connect anyone to the song. Jeff Buckley is one of my favorite musicians, and yet, I can't connect to those lyrics, as it talks about a specific person. "That Grace of yours", why would you mention a song he has made? A few nicely made songs were given as a tribute to Jeff Buckley, I suggest you to review them and their lyrics - maybe it will somehow change your mind.

I like it. Jeff was an angel. One of a kind talent.
