Good-ole Santa Clause
There’s a little old man in a bright red suit Who fly’s around each year In a magic slay full of toys they say Being pulled by eight rain dear He’s a jolly old soul with a big white beard And a smile across his face And if you’ve been good you can count on him Stopping by your place Chorus:1 I’m talkin about Santa, good-ole Santa Clause He’s the one who comes each Christmas Bringing joy to all. He’s brings lots of toys for the girls and the boys And some gifts for mom and dad He spreads Christmas cheer both far and near Even if you’re happy or sad He’s a sneaky old soul that will come and go And will never leave a trace But when Christmas morning finally comes He’ll put a smile on everyone’s face Chorus: 2 I’m talking about Santa, good-ole Santa Clause He’s the one who comes each Christmas Bringing gifts for all. Now Santa lives at the old North Pole With Mrs. Clause they say He gets lots of help from some jolly Elves When it comes to filling his slay And his eight reindeer that rest all year Are up and ready to go All they need to hear from Santa Is a mighty Ho! Ho! Ho! Chorus" 3 I’m talking about Santa, good-ole Santa Clause He’s the one who comes each Christmas Bringing joy to all. “Roll of the Dice”
I play at life as if it were a game
I give in to chance with every waking day Logic and reasoning has little hold on me They only cloud the path to the person I should be My game has rules like all games do But the game I play has only two You roll the dice than move ahead You live your life until your dead My game has many things in store For those that choose to pick a door But those that simply stay the path Will live a life that leaves no tracks Without the fear of choosing wrong There are no words to your victory song One day you’ll look back into your past And judge your life by the memories you have Of all the times you rolled the dice And made a move that changed your life. |

"My Old Ford Truck"
Verse 1:
I’ve got an old Ford truck that I bought in 85 It’s got a lot of hard miles, but the motor still runs fine. It’s a little beat up cause the paint is chippen One door don’t open, and the tailgates missin But even in the morning it starts up every time. Verse 2: And I’ve got a big old dog that I’ve had for quite a while She’s a real slow mover’ but I guess that’s just her stile But when she hears that old Ford fire’n up Quick as lightning she’s up in the truck Ya that big old dog just sittin with a big ole smile Chorus: And I drive that truck every day to work and back With my big old dog stretched out on a gunny sack With the radio playing as loud as it can go It’s just me and my dog and my truck goin down the road Verse 3: When the weekend comes we head down to the lake With a cooler of bear and a couple of big ole stakes Now I prefer my steak cooked medium well, But my big old dog likes it bloody as hell But it don’t really matter cause shell eat it any ole way Chorus: And I drive that truck every day to work and back With my big old dog stretched out on a gunny sack With the radio playing just as loud as it can go It’s just me and my dog and my truck goin down the road Verse 4: It’s been a good old truck and it never really let me down Sometimes I wonder how long it’s gonna be around But when it’s time does come cause it just won’t start Its gonna hurt me bad and probably break my heart When I tear it down and sell the whole dang truck for parts “But until then” Chorus: I'm gona drive that truck every day to work and back With my big old dog stretched out on a gunny sack With the radio playing just as loud as it can go It’s just me and my dog and my truck goin down the road Copyright 2011 By Terry Stewart |

"Tip Jar"
Well he makes his living playing country music
With his old guitar he roams from town to town You can always find him standing on a corner Pickin on his guitar and sippen on some Crown I guess the story goes he used to be a big star Hell he even played the Opry so they say But now he roams around with a tip Jar Hopen that somebody ---will pay to hear him play Choirs: For life is hard and short in country music There’s always someone new to take your place But if you’re really good you just might make it Unless you find the bottle ---and drink your fame away People use to stand in line for hours Just to hear him play his country songs But over time he lost his mind to whisky And like so many others –-- He went and lost it all Now when you see him standing on your corner Remember he’s a famous country star So if you ask him to play a tune for ya Don’t forget to put ---some money in his jar Choirs: For life is hard and short in country music There’s always someone new to take your place But if you’re really good you just might make it Unless you find the bottle --- and drink your fame away |

"The Hopeless"
Darkness brings a cold chill
To those without a home Huddled under concrete eves They seek shelter till the dawn Friendless faces cross their path With haunting eyes they scorn Seldom giving comfort To the lonely and forlorn The homeless have their history The blame is often born From riches lost or tragedies Through no fault of their own The days are long and lonely The help they need is scarce The begging feeds their stomachs But does nothing for their fears The pain they feel from illness Is something that they bare But the fate they fear is loneliness Rejection and despair. “Tomorrow may never come my way”
Words & Music by Terry Stewart
Well I’m just sitting on this old bar stool And wonderin what I’m doin here tonight Since all my old friends have moved on Drinkin here alone just don’t seem right. And listenin to that old Juke Box Playing all those lonely country songs You know those songs they make me realize Most of what I’ve done in life was wrong Now there are times when I just sit here Thinking back when I was just a child Back when Daddy use to tell me You’d better straighten up your just to wild And I remember daddy preachen Son you’ll reap exactly what you sow And if you let the Devil get you Chances are he will never let you go Well my Daddy never gave up He always tried to do his very best By teaching me the golden rule And how to live my life without regret And although he tried to change me He always knew my road to hell was paved Now lookin back its lookin like My daddy he was write in many ways Now I guess that I could get up And walk myself right out those swinging doors. And in time I just might realize that Somewhere in this world there’s somethin more But most likely I’ll just sit here All alone and drink the night away And not worry about tomorrow For tomorrow it may never come my way Copyright © 2014 by Terry Stewart |

“A Little More To Us”
Words & Music by Terry Stewart 8-27-2012
(Verse 1) Well here we are alone at last I can’t believe how time has past The kids have all grown up And moved away (Verse 2) Now every night we watch TV It’s Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy I really think that there could be A little more to us. Choirs: There’s got to be a whole lot more Than sitten round and growing old At least that’s what I’m being told In all the magazines Maybe they might have it right At least I think we need to try To figure out how there could be A little more to us (Verse 3) I really think that we should talk about Going out on evening walks And maybe holding hands Like we use to do (Verse 4) And wouldn’t it be kind of nice To walk along the beach some night Who knows we just might find A little more to us. Choirs: There’s got to be a whole lot more Than sitten round and growing old At least that’s what I’m being told In all the magazines Maybe they might have it right At least I think we need to try To figure out how there could be A little more to us (Verse 5) Well how about we take a trip Along the coast on a sailing ship Where we could sit and watch The sun go down (Verse 6) Or maybe we could take some time And try to find some piece of mind Who knows we just might find A little more to us Choirs: There’s got to be a whole lot more Than sitten round and growing old At least that’s what I’m being told In all the magazines Maybe they might have it right At least I think we need to try To figure out how there could be A little more to us Copyright © 2014 by Terry Stewart |

“Am I back to Being Lonely”
Words and music by Terry Stewart June 2, 2008
(Lyric 1) Just when I thought I had beaten lonely And my heart was on my side No more worrying about tomorrow I took one day at a time (Lyric 2) No more crying on my pillow From regrets of yesterday I had everything I wanted Cause the lonely went away Choirs: Am I back to being lonely Is my heart about to brake Is the way I feel for you Just a terrible mistake Am I back to being lonely Or am I just a fool Afraid to feel the way The way I feel for you. (Lyric 3) I know you say you love me And that your love is true You say forget the past My futures here with you. (Lyric 4) But no matter how I try And no matter what I do I can’t put the fear aside Yes the fear of losing you Choirs: Am I back to being lonely Is my heart about to break Is the way I feel for you Just a terrible mistake Am I back to being lonely Or am I just a fool Afraid to feel the way The way I feel for you. “Dance With Me Tonight”
Music & Lyrics by Terry Stewart
(Verse 1) They say that love is like a dance Where two lovers take the other’s hand Where the sound of their hearts sets the beat As their eyes and bodies softly meet Choirs: 1 So dance with me tonight Let me hold you oh so tight Let me lead you as we go As I sway you to and fro Dance with me tonight Let the music fill your heart Let the feelings we share last the night As we dance till the early morning light (Verse 2) Take my hand and let us share the night As we dance till we see the morning light We may find just what we’re looking for As we glide so softly across the floor. Choirs: 2 So dance with me tonight Let me hold you oh so tight Let me lead you as we go As I sway you to and fro Dance with me tonight Let the music fill your heart Let the love we share be the light That guides us safely across the floor Copyright © 2014 by Terry Stewart |
