Save the World

The shear terror of it, was deep in my soul
The thought of my impending doom was starting to take it's toll
The mechanized death machine followed right behind
I stared straight down the barrel, hoping to go blind

We gotta save the world
From the evil of our time
We'll do what we have to do
So we all can reach our prime

The gate opened on a world of chaos, death and sand
Is it worth this devastation, just to tale this piece of land
We're up to our ass in blood, a nightmare but I'm not asleep
Is this the Armageddon, is the whole world gonna weep

We gotta save the world
From the evil of our time
We'll do what we have to do
So we all can reach our prime

As we inch along the ground, the enemy is now at hand
But as every minute passes we lose another fine man
Your friends lay dead around you, as the generals stand back and nod
You wonder how you got here, and what ever happened to god
