Someday
I'm just starting out songwriting, so I don't expect anything more than sh*t. Actually, I'm intending to throw this bit out, but I'd like to use it as an example for some comments and what to do/not to do. Thanks!
(My friends and I recently started an alt-rock band, but we're not too great with lyrics) When I was young I thought that TV shows Were played out behind the screen I was too scared to hide Behind the TV I thought it’d all be good I thought we’d all turn out okay I never thought I could Hide from the light of day When I was little I thought that the moon Floated right along My mother’s car Along for the ride I thought it’d all be good I thought we’d all turn out okay I never thought I could Hide from the light of day I used to think that Stoplights were controlled By miniature men Deciding what’s red I thought it’d all be good I thought we’d all turn out okay I never thought I could Hide from the light of day I used to have dreams Acting behind TVs Flying to the moon When I was little I had plans I thought it’d all be good I thought we’d all turn out okay I never thought I could Hide from the light of day I thought it’d all be good I thought we’d all turn out okay I never thought I could Hide from the light of day |
