copywrite/ intellectual property
Just would like to hear some brief understandings of protecting your song or words to a song. I've read things before such as you don't have to do anything really according to modern legalities on it.

Now just affix "SEO" to copywriter and you have a miserable soul crushing job you apply for on craigslist that pays close to nothing. |

[QUOTE=FishlessExistence;1423664]If you are really serious about songwriting, you should register with a PRO (Performance Royalties Organization), such as BMI or ASCAP. After registering your music and lyrics, you will be entitled to collect a fee (if you so desire) from any commercial agency using a recording or reproduction of your music.
Thx for the help-wasn't aware of that route. |
