Hey, I'm new here. I've recently started out to improve my lyric writing skillz, and was looking for some honest feedback on some lyrics of mine. This one's pretty short, just two verses and a chorus. Let me know what you think?

Gnome


I'm feeling like a gnome
My heart is made of stone
and I'm going nowhere fast.
I've tried to move myself,
but I just can't get around-
My feet seem planted deep into the ground.

A blade of grass so tall and wide,
it could surely touch the sky
if only I could try.
Instead, I must keep watch-
Even though I know what's next
I'll never see the world past this fence.

The yard's not what it used to be,
and nothing came from these seeds.
Now it's lost-
in a growing bed of weeds.
Forever forced to fix my gaze
on a lawn far past it's prime-
With hopes to see it bloom again sometime
