Misapprehension (house, punk, member, quote, memories)

One of the songs from my band "The Declaimed" played extremely fast and the vocals are screamed with aggression. About 2 min of raw anger:

Misapprehension

You remind me of a poem that I cant remember
You remind me of a song thats never been sung at all
You remind me of a place that never existed
You remind me of a time in life when i was scared id fall

chorus-

Still the ****ing memories are stranded in my head
the thoughts that keep on plaguing me remind me what was said
it gets hard to see when all the light turns black as dead
its the last time that i believed, the first time ive bled
first time ive bled!

You remind me of a dream i wake up and its over
you remind me of emotions, anger swirling in my mind
you remind me of a side that i never showed her
you remind me of an idea always changing everytime.

chorus-

I don't like the chorus.

In fact anything that talk about bleeding or anything like that, I find very unattractive. The verses aren't half bad though. Especially for a punk song.

The chorus is a metaphor;
it gets hard to see when all the light turns black as dead
its the last time that i believed, the first time ive bled

basically saying I allowed myself to be lied to but it wont happend again. No real "blood" being shed, just a play on the words.

theres a couple different ways we play this one, this one is a little more mellow, kind of a mike ness thing going on with some of the vocals (yeah i cant sing and dont try to for the most part), but when we play with harder bands we go balls out and it somehow works just as well with loud obnoxious screamy vox.
