Just a quick half baked badly recorded instrumental thing. I plan to develop it further, and probably writing lyrics, but for now:

New track for an upcoming project. Sort of Post-Rock/Chamber Music? Inspired by Talk Talk and stuff. Lemme know what you think.

Not bad, the drums could be a little more interesting or diverse though. Everything else changed up enough, although I want to hear more from the piano at the end. Are you planning on leading that into another track? That'd be a good transition.

Cheers for listening, fair point about the percussion, I might layer a little bit more in there, some pitched stuff maybe not sure yet, tried to keep it subtle but a bit more character wouldn't hurt. Yeah I think my plan is to let it continue into the next track and build around it more explicitly. It's still early days and a lot may change but this sets out the kinda feeling and sound I want.

Two new tracks from my upcoming project, one a long jazz/classical post-rock piece, the other shorter and more rock orientated. Check 'em out and lemme know what you think, thanks. Most ambitious pieces I've ever created.

I sure wish I could churn out an "ambitious" album every four days. I need to take lots more acid or something. Or maybe completely quit school/work/relationships. Probably both if I'm being honest

As so often with your work: Cool compositions made less enjoyable by often plasticy sounds. Although I actually like the drums a lot on this one.

I wish I had the full resources and skill to record everything live, really irritating. I guess the main lesson is to refine my ability to make Midi instrumentation sound realistic, and also tone down my ambition if it isn't entirely achievable. Thanks though.

I get your phlight and feel with you, man. I'm often had similar problems.
And you're doing pretty good with the sounds, don't misunderstand me.
It's just a kind of uncanny valley effect. It's close to real instruments, but still off.

@ grindy how do you feel about how the sounds are in more ambient type music like Daydream Society
