But now you got to listen to and dissect my song Nigrum Cor. It's only fair. Last edited by Lucem Ferre; 10-05-2015 at 01:50 AM. Reason: I got the yams. |

****ty horrorcore isn't my thing but I can talk about your track since you asked. I guess you could either modulate the voice in a way that's interesting or not at all to make it better. Throw in some changeups in the drums when it fits the flow (or vice versa) and go back to the theme I guess?

I really enjoyed it Frowny but I'm going to give it a second listen before I post my thoughts so I can take it all in. I think the recording style actually works well, and you talked about the instruments talking and communicating so if you wanted to be slightly pretentious you could say recording using a mobile ties in with a concept of communication. Love the textures of sound, especially The Reptilian.

The Cartridge Family - the unadmitted desire to undress
the unadmitted desire to undress | The Cartridge Family This is the first release from my new project, The Cartridge Family, and it's quite a departure from my previous stuff. I've been listening to a lot of folk, classical, and ambient stuff, and I wanted to create an album that combined that sound with my usual electronic work. The idea was to create something warmer, more intimate and more mellow. The album has a loose concept that ties things together, but it only exists in my head. I was mainly listening to Neutral Milk Hotel, Sufjan Stevens, Bjork, Claude Debussy, Johann Strauss, Alice Coltrane and The Byrds, and while I don't think it really imitates any of those artists to much of a degree, the identity was built up from those sources. Please let me know what you think and tell me if this is a direction I should pursue further. Hoping to release another folky follow up next with my own singing and lyrics and everything! Cheers.
