I think I've officially just lost all motivation to do something that even I'll like.

Your second track reminds me of:
Terror Hill by Luop Garou

Almanac

https://thedeafaids.bandcamp.com/album/almanac

Here's the new improved version, totally changed, with 6 new tracks that completely alter the feel of the album. I was pretty unhappy with a lot of the stuff on the first iteration, and this moves into the direction I originally intended, with a lot of dark ambient emphasise in the style. More of a low-fi sound combined with some jazz elements. Still highly influenced by Kid A, Amnesiac, Kraftwerk, and a bit of Aphex, but more of an ambient, shifting quality wholesale. If you could be kind enough to give it a full listen and share your thoughts I'd be real grateful. This album is, I guess, a distillation of where am at with depression and other stuff in my life, so it's been cathartic to create it. It's pretty down-tempo and atmospheric, as I was trying to conjure up feelings of isolation, unease, and uncertainty.

That's really nice by the way, Sequoioideae.

I was asked to be the opening act for a local band coming up in the next few months, so I've been doing a small local tour with my new one-man show lately, showing up at random friends houses with my small gig set-up and playing my 42 minute set for them to test it out as they sip on some beers and watch. The reviews have been pretty great so far, but I have to say that after playing this same set 7 or 8 times in the last week or so has produced some excellent results. I'm building better phrasing for each tune, as well as building up my stamina again, since I had lost quite a bit of muscle memory from my mishap a little over a year ago. It's a new era of guitar playing for me too since I'm doing all this on a Strat, which I'd never used before at length, and we're gelling nicely. After being stuck in a rut for a long time, actually many years, it's kind of like a breath of fresh air for me, and it's become exciting again.

The Plankxperience Tour (Summer/Fall 2015) setlist:

Rise
Son of Soothsayer
Screaming at an Empty Canvas
Canadian Mist
Blues in A
Blues in G
The Crave
Green Onions
If Heartaches Were Nickels
