Here's some other ballad jam. Working on phrasing and then anxiety crops up, ergo shredding. Cheers!

Managed to get Audacity working nicely for layers. Here's a re-recorded version of the clean track I'm working on, all layered up properly (for the most part).
Playing February Clean Track - Layered by Crown Of Talons - picosong

Cheap laptop mics and Audacity are the future.

I had some spare time yesterday, so I threw an EPOCH6 track into Audacity and pressed record. Here's a one take of me trying to figure the song structure out. I fall into blues quite a bit, but it fits. This is without rehearsal, so I wander just a little.

Right on man, I'm stoked that you found some time to do this. I'm at work and I don't have any speakers to listen right now but I certainly look forward to checking it out at lunch.

It was just a once through. I know I didn't follow your chord structure exactly, but I hope it at least meets the minimum standard.

I'd be up for doing a lead over a backing like that but I'm not sure I have the hardware to make it happen.

Thanks Mr V. I tried to keep it minimal, and not overshadow EPOCH's tune with a bunch of wankery. Plus, in all honesty, I'm a little rusty.

Took a listen, got me stoked to jump in with you, didn't realize how much that track begs for shredding until now. Well **** guys, why don't the three of us (or just Plankton and I if Chula doesn't have the hardware to jump in) give it a more focused shot? It's a very easy tune to play along with and I could certainly post the backing chords. We'll just take alternating sections and noodle our way through to the end. I've been recording any guitar work on a ****ty $20 laptop microphone w/ Audacity, so it'll sound like crap, but it'll at least be fun, and a decent exercise in forum collabs.

Sure, let's give it a shot. Go ahead and throw the chords up, along with some section marker times, so we can pass out the time slots to anyone who might wanna jump in. If you'd like, I could do the mixing, unless you have something better than Audacity.
