Nice; I'm currently trying to do this with keys and guitar because one of our members just got deported so I'm picking up his guitar parts. It's hard switching form one to the other because your neuro-muscular interactions are just completely different for each instrument. Practice, I guess.

Thanks! Its definitely difficult to to time the snare hits correctly whilst strumming. The bass drum is easy but mixing the hands is when it gets really tricky. I was just doing this for fun but it didnt take too long to get an idea for it. Id imagine piano and guitar together would be very tough! (Might have to try that now haha) Oh and sorry to hear about your friend and good luck!

Also, the Xylophone is a bit upfront in the mix, and detracts from the vocal harmonies a bit. Just a first impression thing, but thats what stood out for me.

Still, a very enjoyable listen. Kind of a bluesy Barbershop Quartet.

Listening again... that break makes sense since it's part of the hook in the middle, but the beginning bit of guitar chatter is probably the disorienting part. Just the first fraction of a second or so. That's what threw it off for me I guess. Sorry for the late realization on that.

This is waaaay more experimental than probably anything I've ever done. Lately I've been working on a bunch of tracks and doing weird things for them, like taking recordings of everyday sounds and layering them with effects to see what I get. This is just one of about twenty tracks I've made. One of the unique things I did for this track was take a long recording of the noisy air conditioner in my apartment, which you'll hear the highly edited version of that recording coming in around 0:50 of this song.

I might compile the songs into an album and I might not, depends on what I feel like doing or if people seem to dig the sound/vibe of this track.

And another:

I like this one better than the first one tbh. All the sounds on this one except for the disorienting synth that plays through the whole thing is my crappy electric guitar with tons of effects obviously.

Reception from my friends and on other forums has been extremely good so here's a third one:

Double posting scandal

Here's a fourth one, and I actually have a song title with this one because it's an idea and atmosphere I've had in my head for a while and this was probably the best, most beautiful attempt I came up with. It's still pretty experimental but it's also got a bit of form and melody to it. I just think it's one of my best electronic compositions, anyway.
