New single from my band. :) As always, I appreciate any feedback.

That's really good work there, Junkyard Donner! :D Thanks for sharing!
For a blues it's sure experimental and sweet with the indie-sounds, but I love it.
Awesome guitar, natural sound and the vocals are cool! I'm wishing you Good Luck for your band.

Feedback - The empty space in the beginning is a bit disorienting, it would be nice to have the AaaaaDaaaa Dum carry on to a AaaaaaaDaaaa Dum Dum Aaaaa, then hit on the first guitar note. Also, the Xylophone is a bit upfront in the mix, and detracts from the vocal harmonies a bit. Just a first impression thing, but thats what stood out for me.

Still, a very enjoyable listen. Kind of a bluesy Barbershop Quartet.

You'll get it. That's hard to do.

Clean your garage! :)

Yeah the hammer ons can really throw me off, with a little more practice I think I can do some of my songs like this! It'll deff get tougher trying to throw vocals into the mix though.

This is something I've always wanted to master, its a lot of fun!

And oh yes it's nasty in there, spring cleaning is on the way thankfully :thumb:

Getting back into working on my very mediocre vocals after a month of two of not recording anything... if anyone's really bored and wants to help out an amateur, my soundcloud is in my sig and I'm still trying to figure out a style that works best with my voice. Got a nice variety of vocal techniques going there. The most recent are not necessarily the best haha. I'm pretty much wondering which sounds the worst, and which sounds the best, since my perspective is skewed.

Anyways not expecting much or any response, just putting it out there that I've been doin this on my own with pretty much no help for a few months and am definitely open to feedback from people experienced. I know I don't suck completely so it's worth continuing to pursue (hoping to start up a stoner band a la 'Jex Thoth' eventually, for funsies), but I also have a bit to go before I could get people to work with me.

Cheers!

I discovered GarageBand on iPad and recorded this while at my sister's house waiting for a taxi...

ETA: ...with an impromptu peppercorn shaker and her husband's acoustic guitar that was missing a string or two.

Here's one I reworked for a Blues competition. My question... is it Blues?

Heh, kind of. The bass gives it a fusion tinge to the whole blues rock feel.

Yeah. I see what you mean. Kind of foggy in the head today, and feeling lazy. I guess I'll be breaking out the Dobro for some "Dust My Broom" action. No question about that one being blues.

Thanks Frowny.
