Chula's fault, not mine. The problem here was he told us to give up on making music and that even as a hobby we're worthless musicians devoid of talent. I know it was sloppy af, but goddamn dude, guess he's butthurt about something else.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

I only commented on the track I listened to.

I can't speak to what I haven't heard but I can say what I have heard is enough to halt further exploration. I'm not a charity listener.

I do make huge efforts to explore new (and new to me) music. Take for example goofle's year by year top ten. I go over everything on there I don't know or don't know well with a fine toothed comb. I know it's worth my time because he already vetted it for me. No, I'm not going to extend the same effort to learn about Chula's basement track. I took a little interest. Unfortunately, it turns out. In Frownland's case I was rewarded. You win some; you lose some.

I don't think the criticism for this one track is fair when Tristan has made an entire album that is on par with being a train wreck.

In a good way. I think.

This completely contradicts itself. I don't know if you understand what I'm getting at, but you basically said "i'll listen to a ****ty track, base that for my opinion toward the artist, and not listen to their good stuff"

For what it's worth I didn't lose an ounce of sleep last night over the guy's post. I could give a flying rats ass about what he, or you for that matter have to say about my stuff. So basically, move along.

Debatable.

Also, Lucem, if you really want feedback here you go.

I like your dark industrial beats, but I feel like as an instrumental artist (at least from what I've heard), your songs go on too long with little variation. Add something interesting to mix up your songs from start to finish. I always feel weird hearing well-produced music on bandcamp or soundcloud if it isn't from an established artist, that's just me and I don't really know why. If you're paying for studio time and your more serious about your music, consider signing to an indie label. But at the same time, I think your music needs just a tad more fleshing out before you should do that. It's good **** because it's well produced and interesting, but it's a tad bland. I realize that my music could in fact use a lot of work, but my whole gimmick is being honest, lo-fi, and ****ty in the first place. I have no desire of being extremely well produced, successful, or tight in my musicianship because I feel like that's being done already, and I enjoy lo-fi so I become part of that. I appreciate the kind of work that goes into making well-produced music and I applaud you for that, but I don't think you need to keep ripping on people for not paying for studio time; no one evidences better on this forum than Mondo and YorkeDaddy in the fact that you can make some pretty cool **** on your own with entry level recording software.

You guys keep saying "who gives a ****", but we all come here to share our music so of course we expect other people to give a **** about our work. If this were a thread where we were talking about famous artists or albums that have made a big influence on music, it'd be different. We all try to accomplish what we want to accomplish creatively, so we always look for feedback whether it's good or bad. The reason I post my music here is so people can tell me where I'm sloppy and where I'm good, and I grow from that. I'm not posting my music here to get my dick sucked. If that's how you feel the music should be portrayed, then I'll rid any of my music from this site from here on. I like people's feedback. I know other people as well. That's why this thread exists.
