https://thecartridgefamily1.bandcamp.../silent-spring

Genres: Folktronica, Baroque Rock, Jazz, Ambient

NEW ALBUM!

I'm releasing my album, Silent Spring, early for a little bit to drum up some early feedback. I'd love love love people to listen and download, and feedback even more so.
The album was inspired by English folklore, as well as artists like Talk Talk, Miles Davis, Arthur Russell, Steve Reich, Nick Drake, Sufjan Stevens and David Sylvian. Cheers guys x

Used the Washburn R314KK in a track for the first time, most of the track is still my Larrivee but I gave Little Brown the last solo, snapped its first string too:

Life Like This

1. Heard a Voice
2. Dam
3. We're Global
4. Flip a Nickel
5. Neon Mind
6. Express
7. I'm So Tired (Fugazi)
8. The Splay
9. Life Like This

Well I wrote all the songs, that's the easy part. Putting it together might be tough without great musicians, so I need to recruit some. I have no access to a piano, violin, or any horns, but I've included parts for them so if you do and could help that would rock. It's a post-rockish noise/indie rock/post-hardcore/drone punk/folk kind of thing. Lots of influence from bands in that area, Slint, Sonic Youth, the Dead C, Modest Mouse, Fugazi, Bark Psychosis, Stereolab, U.S. Maple, June of 44, Shipping News, Rodan, The Velvet Underground, A Minor Forest, The For Carnation, Indian Summer, Red House Painters, Codeine, Carissa's Wierd, Bedhead, This Heat, Swell Maps, Lync, Duster, Elliott, Cursive, Joy Division, The Microphones, Lowercase, Planning For Burial, Have A Nice Life, Arab Strap, Unwound, Shellac, Polvo, Urinals, American Football, Joan of Arc...
