Every single time I upload an album to Routenote, they have an issue with my song titles that's not codified anywhere on their site and it holds up my release being distributed on streaming services. Does anyone here know of any (free) distribution services that don't try artists with this bull****?

Digital Buskers

Frownland 09-10-2019 03:49 PM

They've been great to me, actually. I could call myself Kanye West and they wouldn't bat an eye about copyright infringement.

Mondo Bungle 09-11-2019 01:14 AM

maybe your song titles shouldn't be 7000 characters long or generally retarded

this is the one track that I couldn't get up because of the title https://troublesalad.bandcamp.com/tr...eeeeeeeerrreer

haven't had anymore problems whatsoever

you're probably just mad that I'm making more money than you with only my free account

I would rather die.

promotional taste of the Architecture of Trouble, an album I guess you could say sounds like it's predecessor in general style but blown way out of proportion with tape music and heavier sampling wizardry https://soundcloud.com/lord-salad/tr...e-standing-man

Jesus the Carpenter - Another Fucking Guitar Player

Happy almost EST midnight, y'all. You can find my new album here. It will probably be a couple more days before it hits streaming services because Routenote is a buncha dumb bitches. All guitar except for a smidge of cello. First five tracks are acoustic excursions, last two tracks are long form psychedelic soundscapes.

Track Listing:
1. Don't Listen to Anything That Ray Bradbury Tells You
2. Please Buy This Album I'm Broke
3. Seriously Anything Helps
4. Michelin Starfish
5. Wonderwall
6. That's Right, I Have a Delay Pedal. Wanna Fight About It?
7. TIDAL Isn't Worth It

Key 09-22-2019 04:31 PM

^I'll be listening and reviewing soon.

As for me, i'm doing something far more ambient based. Less noise than the previous albums. Actually, practically no noise except for a few bits here and there.

is that for your "big album"

these quotation marks are not meant to be derisive, I'm pretty sure that's just what you said you were doing

Mondo Bungle 09-22-2019 05:49 PM

as for me The Architecture of Trouble oughtta be released in October but there's a good chance it'll be sooner since it's already almost done. A double album of sorts reminiscent of my last album in the bangers but weaved together with tape music/EAI/chopped and screwed/easy listening ditties and radscapes

it's meant to be yeah. but the idea took a bit of a different turn. still going to be a pretty huge album, but in several different ways.

I Am an Ultimatum

A declaration of assimilation
a mere shadow of my past self
an elaborately analyzed smoke-screen
to disguise my lust for wealth
my passion shrinks every day
it warps as it fades away
Leather Sex and Denim
a Pavlovian response to freedom

Hurtling oh so quickly
towards an expansive and endless void
an awesome abyss
Sayonara

From the faithful
to the faceless
heed this warning
I am an ultimatum

A world of violence, brutality and suffering
an abnormal brain just can't sustain
Prying eyes peer into my mind
a lightning strike upon my insides
everyday is the same
you know these things they won't change
Leather sex anbd denim
a Pedestrian response to freedom

Gave it a listen. I like what I heard. Definitely cool to listen to it on Spotify too, I'll admit. Nice job man. I do like this one.

Key 09-27-2019 10:05 PM

I'm also feeling really good about the new stuff that I'm working on as well, so it's cool to see that theres been a pretty good amount of creativity flowing through a lot of us here. Super stoked for this to release, but I'm far from done.

Frownland 09-27-2019 10:10 PM

Thanks for checking it out. I've been honing in the acoustic style for a bit and I'm glad it came out well.

You can get your stuff up on Spotify for free too, just go use a distributor service like routenote. Idk how much you use samples though, they make you go through all the legal **** if you want to add that to Spotify.

Yeah, it definitely shows. It's certainly one of my more favorite albums of yours, and there are definitely a couple that I love.

And yeah, I've gone back and forth with the thought of Spotify but I don't really wanna bother. I do use samples, probably more than most people, but it allows me to be creative with what I wanna do which is really to just make whatever I wanna make. So I don't mind using bandcamp and soundcloud etc. Plus, bandcamp is pretty sweet. I also have this paranoia with the whole money thing so I try to make sure that every album on my bandcamp is completely and 100% free. No way whatsoever to make any money off of it. Not sure why I have that paranoia but it's just a thing that I make sure to do whenever I upload stuff.

If MB were a music scene the only people who went to see you play would be the other bands playing the show.

That's because you can't appreciate genre-breaking cluster****s such as us.

Well you and however other many people frequent the forum at any given moment

I dont expect people to listen. I just make music because I enjoy it.

I agree but I also like the ego boost of getting 40 plays an album

I didnt ask him to

The Batlord 10-01-2019 04:08 PM

Shut up, bitch, you know exactly how this thread works. You asked by announcing an album.

Key 10-01-2019 04:16 PM

No I announced an album by announcing an album. I dont care if people listen to it. I've said this many times.

The Batlord 10-01-2019 04:27 PM

*five minutes later*

hey let's trade reviews

OKAY!!!

Key 10-01-2019 09:39 PM

I don't think I've ever specifically asked anybody to review an album just out of the blue. And if I have, then sorry my memory is fuzzy. I typically throw it out there if the discussion calls for it. I just make music and put it out there. If people listen to it, great. Lemme know what you think. If not, oh well. Doesn't stop me from doing it. I love the creative aspect more than anything.
