Just so you know I’m going to revisit your entire 2019 output with serious attention in December. Right now it’s on placeholder status for collectively a top work for the year FF2019MOTY list.

Damn thank you! That always means a lot. The Light should be a really interesting release so I'm excited about it. When inspiration hits, it really hits.

Mondo Bungle 07-14-2019 01:58 AM

I sure hope you don't take this as some kind of insult but I wish you'd evolve more. The style of music you're already doing is highly elastic and can stretch in pretty much every direction imaginable. Your dark and creepily vast hallway sound is tight though it could be quite friendly with any sorts of electronica.

It's solid for the strictly ambient noise stylings but there's so much that could be done with it. A wonky sort of industrial downtempo music is hanging outside like girl scouts with a cookie stand.

Please don't encourage Kiii to experiment with girl scouts

What the world needs now... is not another beat.

Plenty of time to evolve. I'm just having fun.

Isn’t playing anything for me. Linking to soundcloud but no play button or anything.

Frownland 07-15-2019 07:30 PM

Working for me, try restarting your browser/soundcloud/phone/whatever?

OccultHawk 07-15-2019 08:09 PM

The others play but not yours

Somebody else try please

Frownland 07-15-2019 08:13 PM

It should still play but it looks like I linked to my comment notification. I updated the original post but

The Batlord 07-15-2019 08:14 PM

The Batlord 07-15-2019 08:21 PM

I like it a lot.

Frownland 07-15-2019 08:34 PM

Working on a record for that project. May add some stuff to it that was originally released as Jesus the Carpenter but not put on any albums.

The Batlord 07-15-2019 08:36 PM

Padding huh?

I could see laying down those electronics and then putting acoustic guitar right on top of it

Have you ever listened to this

http://jesusthecarpenter.bandcamp.com/album/andaman

I like the track Kerensa

Key 07-15-2019 11:14 PM

I have not. I'll give it a listen.

Mondo Bungle 07-16-2019 01:54 AM

track list is complete, now I'm onto the post-mixing, the most frustrating part

I agree this is my favorite type of stuff from you. The emotionally unstable distorted atmospheric stuff that revels in dread and the anxiety of assumed impending doom.

m/m is always my least favorite part and if I could afford a professional I'd pay them but there's always a satisfying pay off when you can pull off the exact mix/master that you want. Unfortunately, as I learned from Joe Strange, there is no real formula to it other than playing every thing by ear. If you have a full time job, unfortunately ear fatigue creeps in much much faster than usual.

I have 808s, I just didn't want to use them for that beat.

Man, I found this forgotten gem on my computer.

Thats dope.

Do people say that still?

Sounds ****in killer though. Dark and dank.

I rearranged a playlist of the tunes I recorded over the past 6 months or so. It's a thing. I think it's kinda nifty, so if anyone feels like giving it a listen/review I'll do a little reciprocation.

Frostbit Fingers
